More than 50% of people walking around these days have AirPods in their ears, at least in my very unscientific research. I feel like you’re definitely missing out if you don’t own these, which ultimately means AirPods make a great gift for anyone who doesn’t own a pair yet. They might be harder to find closer to the holidays, too, so I recommend picking these up ASAP.

The OLED Nintendo Switch might be close to impossible to find before Christmas, but that won’t stop me from putting it on this list. After all, you’re reading an article of gifts to start looking for NOW. You might be wondering why this one is so special, well it’s because Nintendo did an amazing job of updating the resolution and screen quality of the Switch for those who are into high resolution gaming. It can now push output to 4K in docked mode, and looks incredible in handheld mode with its new larger OLED screen.

A new computer doesn’t have to mean thousands of dollars down the drain, especially if you’re only using your computer for communication and web stuff. As long as you’re not editing videos or recording multi-track podcasts, a Chromebook is the answer. It’s the perfect gift for a student, or your working-from-home significant other. This one is well-powered for a notebook, with 4GB of RAM and a 2.1Ghz Intel i3 processor. It’s a steal for under $300, highly recommended.

Now that you have the OLED Nintendo Switch, you’re going to need a game for it — or maybe three. The new GTA trilogy will undoubtedly be the most popular game for the next…well, honestly, for the next year or two. Obviously, this means that it will be scarce for the holidays, so put in your order now. All the homies are waiting for you (or whoever the game is for) over on Grove St, and you don’t want to piss them off.

VR is the future, and if you don’t own an Occulus Rift, you are officially missing out on the most fun possible with video games. It’s the only place to play tons of VR games on the standalone unit, while simultaneously having the ability to hook up to VR PC games. Seriously, if you can’t find a PS5 or a Series X, this should be the backup plan.

One of these is going to make someone very happy this Christmas, so you had better start checking the stock now!
The Almighty AirTags by Apple
Apple has created a device that essentially acts as a clip-on GPS locator. Each AirTag syncs to your Find My app, allowing you to find your items easily when you lose them. This is perfect for devices not made by Apple that you want to incorporate into one ecosystem. It uses ultra-wideband technology to find your stuff, so whether it’s in the next room or the next state, it will be located.
The World Famous Ninja Air Fryer
As someone who used to be a chef, I’m usually very skeptical about new kitchen innovations. An air fryer, to me, sounded like a rebranding of the convection oven. I was wrong. I was dead wrong, and I’ll be the first person to admit it. Who isn’t going to absolutely love this thing? Nobody, that’s who.

Playstation 5 definitely tops the list of most sought-after Christmas gifts this year. I don’t need to describe a PS5 to you, you already know what it is! This is the perfect gift for anyone who hates cleaning, and it regularly tops the list of most popular Christmas gifts.
Fire HD Pro for Kids
These days it feels like kids absolutely need a tablet for school. Amazon saw the opening and made changes to their award-winning Fire HD to make them safer for children. The Fire HD Kids Pro is essentially a fully-functioning tablet with a built-in kid-safe content filter. These won’t be easy to find in December.
An iPhone 12 Pro
New iPhones always become impossible to find near the holidays, that’s why I always recommend people pick up a refurbished one. In fact, even NOW, almost 2 months before the holidays, you cant find an iPhone 13 that’s not locked to a carrier. Side note: never buy a phone locked to a carrier.
The Ring Doorbell
Everyone has a Ring, but if you know someone who doesn’t, I highly recommend getting one for them for the holidays. I love these because you never have to guess who is at your door again, and you’ll have footage of all the goings-on outside. It has 1080p resolution, two-way intercom, low-light settings; the works!
This Air Purifier
We just recently picked up this air purifier for our home and it makes such a difference in the air quality. This bad boy can replace the air in a room 5 times an hour, keeping the air you breathe as clean as possible. I feel like clean air is a vital commodity in 2021. This will make the perfect gift for someone who lives with roommates and wants clean air in their bedroom, like a college student.
Amazon Kindle
If you’ve never read a book on a Kindle, now is the time to give it a shot. They’re very affordable, and they have come a long way since their inception. This will make a great gift for any voracious reader, and you can even pre-load it with some good books to get them started. Once a reader tries this, they won’t go back to lugging around overweight books again.
This Alarm…Light?
Do you have a post-wake-up grumpy person in your family? Maybe it’s their annoying alarm clock. This will make a great gift for them, because using the sun to wake-up is what we are supposed to do.
